There was a problem displaying the list of names in Power Pages

When you grant or view site access to a Power Pages site and encounter this error there was a problem displaying the list of names don’t FEAR as we can apply the fix below.

Environment variable fix

In the default solution open the Power Pages Site Shared Users environment variable.

Copy the current value and stick this into a text editor (I would recommend taking a backup of the value too).

Now you should notice an email address in the value along with identifiers.

317318318318371831,187381731873183138137, test.@gmail.com

  Note

Email addresses should not be in the value and this is what causes the error in Power Pages. What causes this to be added is a mystery to me but let’s remove the email address to fix it.

Before: 317318318318371831,187381731873183138137, test@gmail.com After: 317318318318371831,187381731873183138137

Refresh the page and the error should hopefully disappear.

Conclusion

😁Thanks for reading and have a great day!
